How to prepare for your move to Dubai 🇦🇪

Before you book those flights, make sure you do the following:

✅ Choose an employer that follows UAE Labor Laws and arranges your Visa BEFORE your flight ✅ Ensure your passport has 6 full months validity ✅ Arrange travel insurance for the Interim period while your Visa is under process ✅ Book accommodation in close proximity to your workplace. Dubai is busy which can mean a lot of traffic at peak hours. Living nearby reduces the commute time significantly. ✅ Pack appropriate clothing. Dubai is a liberal and accommodating city but you MUST remain respectful. Long sleeves/trousers are required for visiting Government buildings. ✅ Join expat Facebook groups to build your network.

✅ Research the culture so you can immerse yourself in the beauty Dubai has to offer. ✅ SAVE. Dubai is not cheap and you will have deposits to pay for things like cars, accommodation etc when you arrive. ✅ Stock up on essentials such as sun cream as these can be more expensive. ✅ Request a Budget Planner from your employer to get familiar with day to day expenses and enable to manage your finances. ✅ Come prepared with the mentality that you HAVE to work hard.
